Good taste and shelf-life, resistance against diseases and reliable culture possibilities are among the most important breeding goals. The breeding program is not only aiming to develop June bearing cultivars for all markets in Northwest Europe. Additionally a breeding program for everbeares as well as one for a Mediterranean climate is being conducted.

From this program several well-known cultivars have been released. Most well-known cultivars are: Gorella, Rapella and Elsanta, but also the cultivars Korona and Lambada, famous for their excellent taste, were developed from this program. With the introduction of Sonata a new milestone has been set. This cultivar combines large reliability with good taste and is therefore highly in demand.

With the introduction of Figaro a new standard is set for firmness and fruit colour.
