Sonata; Elsanta's successor!

Sonata is a mid-late season, June bearer of a fruit with exceptionally good flavour qualities. Sonata is an excellent alternative to Elsanta. The variety distinguishes itself from Elsanta by setting uniform fruit abundantly.
Sonata is suitable for the colder climate zone in Western Europe, chiefly north of the Alps. The variety is suitable for cultivation under glass as well as in the field. Under glass, its cultivation can be continuous, or fresh tray plants can be started in the winter. In the latter case, this usually involves an early forcing culture for which Sonata is very suitable, as it rarely produces deformed fruits.
Because of its strong initial growth, the variety is also suitable for cultivation as cold stored waiting bed plants.
Sonata has a good fruit set and is also very easy to harvest.
